Merzouga Desert tour from Agadir to Marrakech-3 Days

Day 1 ; Agadir – Agdez – Nkob – Alnif – Rissani – Merzouga Desert

Our driver will pick you up from your accommodation around 8AM, and drive South-East of Morocco. The journey takes via different and beautiful landscapes between flatland and Mountains, villages and small cities.

We will Try to have short stops for great shots during your drive, before you have a break for lunch in one of the towns which could be Nkob regarding the distance. After that, you will drive by the longest valley of Morocco called Daraa Valley with numerous Palm trees and much more ; these green rivers called by locals Oasis in relation to Desert terms.

After a couple hours of driving you will reach the famous and old Souk of Rissani city, known as the biggest market of the Desert region attended by thousands of people around, especially in one of the three day markets during the week.

By sunset, you will get to Merzouga in one of the Hotels beside the dunes where you will have the night.

Day 2 ; Merzouga Discovery – Camel trek – Night at Desert Camp

After you have local breakfast, your extraordinary adventure of Sahara will start by visiting a unique and very old irrigation system ; oasis of Hassi Labied, then to town of Khamlia ; the majority of its inhabitants are black people originally from Sudan and Mali were brought as slave to work in farms and mining a long time ago, but, nowadays, they are part of local culture and they live in harmony same as local. The only thing that is divided or distinguished the mis their spiritual music called Gnawa music ; you are going to have the opportunity to listen to the rhythms and even dance under the magical performance.

Then, continue driving to visit a Nomadic family living in a tent on the other side of the dunes, will have time to set and discover their way of life as they will welcome you with Whiskey Bereber which is Moroccan Tea. Back to the town for a delicious lunch with Berber Pizza ; a local meal especially for the area.

After that, you will leave your transport and change it to the Desert Boat (Camel), camel trek take you to the heart of the dunes going up and down about 1h30 with stops for sunset till you reach the Camp.

At the Camp you will be welcomed with Tea before the Luxy tent will be given to you, dinner at a beautiful restaurant of the Camp. Then, you gadre campfire with drums music played by locals. It’s a lifetime experience, so don’t miss to go on one of the dunes to admire shooting stars and enjoy tranquility, silence and a sense of mother nature. The area is totally safe.

Day 3 ; Merzouga – Erfoud – Tinghir – Dades Valley – Roses Valley – Ouarzazate – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

You will wake up early to enjoy the beauty of sunrise and take pictures, then have breakfast and shower before the journey back ; either by Camel or 4×4 in order to save time according to the distance to Marrakech, to Merzouga village where your driver is waiting for you. The itinerary will make you pass through Erfoud; the capital of fossil, Tinghir, Dades Valley and Roses Valley till you reach Ouarzazate; known as the Hollywood of Africa, international movies have been shot in its film studios such as Gladiator, Game of thrones… After having lunch, we continue our Sahara desert tour from Fes to the famous and oldest Kasbah in Morocco Ait Ben Haddou[part Unesco since 1987] a break to take pictures of this mud building from a panoramic view, then to cross High Atlas Mountains from the pass of Tizi N Tichka with elevation of 2260m before you get to Marrakech where Sahara Desert trip from Agadir gets to end.
